Our Approach

Hormead Village Hall is a registered Charity and our income is used for the upkeep and improvement of the hall and to fund events and activities for the community.

We pride ourselves in being able to offer a modern well kept facility.

Our Story

Hormead village hall has been rebuilt and reopened Late 2015, since then we have gained much support from people in the community, with the appointment of two of our neighbours to the committee.  When we reopened we were very pleased to welcome back the Over 60's and Garden clubs through our doors, since then we have won the business of hosting bounce fit classes, which run 4 days a week as well as a weekly Zumba class.  Our goal to be be able to run monthly events for our community.

Main Hall

The main hall is approx 11 m x 7.8 m (85.8 m2) with an apex height of 5.5 m.  We have a seated capacity of just over 70 people using our own tables and chairs.  In addition there is a fixed stage of approx 3 m x 7.8 m with steps at either side with power available on the back wall as set in the floor at the front of the stage.

We have both a PRS and PPL licence to cover entertainment, with the sale of alcohol normally being covered with the application of a TENS licence.
